How it works — Menstrual Booster

A botanical and nutritional blend for women

Eight botanical ingredients alongside vitamins and minerals, designed to broaden your everyday nutritional routine.

Hormones change across the menstrual cycle, and those changes can influence migraine patterns. This women’s formula brings together plants chosen for their traditional use and nutrients with important everyday roles. It is the botanical half of our Menstrual Migraine Duo.

The everyday explanation

Every ingredient has a story

Sage and rosemary

Aromatic plants with a long place in food and herbal traditions. Sage is often discussed in women’s wellbeing; rosemary brings its own distinctive plant compounds to the blend.

Soya, flax and hops

These plants contain compounds studied for their interaction with hormone-related pathways. They bring botanical variety to a formula designed with women’s wellbeing in mind.

Alfalfa, ginseng and kelp

Three further plants with different nutritional and traditional backgrounds. Kelp also supplies iodine, a nutrient involved in normal thyroid hormone production.

Vitamin B6: a helpful coordinator

Vitamin B6 contributes to the regulation of hormonal activity and normal psychological function. Think of it as one of the nutrients helping the body’s everyday pathways work together.

Calcium and magnesium: building and doing

Calcium is a building material for bones and teeth, and also participates in cell signalling and muscle function. Magnesium supports nerves, muscles and energy metabolism—different jobs within the same body.

Vitamin D and zinc: wider support

Vitamin D helps the body absorb and use calcium, like a project manager helping building materials reach their job. Zinc contributes to normal immune function and helps protect cells from oxidative stress.

Plants with different stories

More than one botanical

Each plant brings a different background and set of compounds. The blend pairs that botanical variety with nutrients the body uses every day.

✦You’ve met the ingredients. What’s the science?

Around a period, changing oestrogen levels can help explain why some people notice a recurring migraine pattern. Our formula combines botanical ingredients with nutrients that have established roles in the body; vitamin B6 contributes to the regulation of hormonal activity, while calcium, magnesium, vitamin D and zinc support other aspects of normal physiology.

Traditional use helps explain the choice of plants. It is different from a clinical trial of this exact blend for menstrual migraine. Keeping a diary across menstrual cycles is a useful way to understand your own symptoms and discuss a targeted care plan.
